You might have noticed it’s a little bit quiet over here. Don’t worry, I’m still here!
It’s been a year since the first confirmed case of Covid-19 in the Netherlands, and as for many that took quite a toll on my life as well. I figured at the end of 2019 that after five years of my life being dominated by illness, it was time for some more living instead of surviving. But preferably in a quiet way to start with. Well, that didn’t happen. I had some unfortunate job affairs before landing a job at a wonderful company in July! And I love it! BUT, since one of my major subjects at work is coördinating things concerning Covid-19, and since we are a crucial business, it’s about all I can do at the moment and free time means biking, walking and dancing!
So yes, it has been quiet on the blog front. But that doesn’t mean I’m not doing anything with beer at the moment. I’m still doing beer tastings (online) and such! I still read the books, do the research and do my own experiments. And I decided to add a page with short updates to the site as well. I still have a lot of almost finished blog post waiting to be posted. And I still plan on finishing my Eindhoven page. Meanwhile I’m going to do some things for Pint as well, about which I’ll tell you more later.
So yes, it’s quiet, but I’m still here! You can still book me for beer tastings and workshops, I’ll still update the short updates and I hope in time I’ll get back to the blog posts as well! Because they are burning in my head, just not in my fingers yet.
Stay safe!
